FOX Commentator and Former Republican Congressman Trey Gowdy, called out Presidential Candidate Elizabeth Warren for demanding that A.G. Barr resign over the Roger Stone case. Gowdy scolded Warren claiming her demand was the “dumbest thing he had ever heard.” Gowdy explained that Barr was well within his duties to suggest a lesser sentence. It appears the Dems are just trying to dismantle the Trump administration.
Trey Gowdy was interviewed by Martha MacCallum where he had the following to say about the A.G. Barr, Warren, and The Roger Stone case.
“The prosecutors wanted nine years, uh, Bill Barr thinks that two or three years is more proportional and the only difference between the two is whether or not you count this eighth level enhancement for for actively threatening a witness,” Gowdy started. “If you didn’t have that enhancement then everyone would agree that Bill Barr’s view of the guidelines is accurate. So the judge is gonna decide whether or not that enhancement is appropriate, supported by the facts. Martha, this was a trial, she presided over the trial, she listened to witnesses. She’s uniquely well-positioned to decide whether or not that enhancement should be in play.”
“But the notion, I mean, prosecutors don’t sentence people, presidents don’t sentence people, Fox News commentators don’t sentence people, judges do, and we give them life tenure so that they can make these calls,” Gowdy continued. “But the notion that Bill Barr should resign is about the dumbest damn thing I have ever heard!”
“If a United States senator really believes that the head of the Department of Justice cannot weigh in on what a proportional sentence is, I mean there are child pornographers who don’t get nine years, Martha, there are people who rob banks who don’t get nine years! So let the judge decide, I think two or three years is about right,” he concluded.

Dems are clearly in the wrong here. Warren seems to be out of her depth and just running her mouth, trying to badmouth the Attorney General. These Dems need to stay in their lanes and stick to the jobs they are actually assigned to do…. like maybe they could, if they get a chance, serve the American people. I know that seems to be an outdated notion as it now seems Dems only real job now is to attack the Trump administration. But it used to be that our publically elected officials were supposed to be bettering America, Hence why so many people resonate with Trump’s MAGA slogan.
