Gowdy Bashes Schiff For "His Wildly Stupid Trial Strategy"
The Impeachment Managers Schiff and Nadler are supposed to be presenting the articles of impeachment and relevant evidence to the Senate in hopes of swaying them. But it appears Schiff and Nadler don't care what the GOP Senators think, as they immediately started bashing them day one. They claimed there was a coverup and that the trial was rigged. Fmr S.C. Rep Trey Gowdy called Schiff out for his assinine strategy.
"The big question: Is the way that Adam Schiff said it, do voters never get to trust the vote and only lawmakers can decide what the line is, that a president can get kicked out of office for?" Brett Baier asked Gowdy
"Yeah, Brett, Adam's ordinarily not that stupid but when you tell the jury, the Senate, on one day that they're corrupt and then you tell the American people they cannot be trusted to pick the commander in chief, that's just a wildly stupid trial strategy," Gowdy responded.
"Remember when Donald Trump, as a candidate, began to question the reliability of the vote? Remember when he started making allusions to potential voter fraud and he was roundly criticized by everyone that I head in the media for even suggesting that you could not, that you could not rely on a vote total. Well, Adam Schiff has done exactly the same thing."
"American people, we don't trust you to factor this in, in November, so we need a hundred senators to decide that. It is a wildly stupid trial strategy, only surpassed by Rep Jerry Nadler's insulting of the jury two days ago," he concluded.

It seems like these House Dems are forgetting that they are not in the majority when it comes to the Senate. They can't just run their mouths and get things past. They have to prove their case. The Dem's case against the president is looking bleak. Republican Senators are offended by the slights and feel that the Impeachment Managers are repeating themselves. The Senators thought that the trial would uncover some damning evidence and so far according to Senators they are struggling to see why the Dems chose to impeach Trump. But Schiff and Nadler seem to be following along with an agenda that Gowdy originally theorized. Gowdy claimed before the trial started that the Dems were not actually trying to remove Trump, they just wanted to make Senators look bad so that they might gain more power in the Senate. And it appears that he was right, as all the House Dems have really have been doing is bashing the GOP Senators.
