Gov DeSantis Stops Liberal Trend In It’s Tracks

Women fought to get their own teams and now transgendered, with help from Biden, are stealing them. Men generally hit harder, run faster, can lift more, and are more athletic. So it’s not fair to put a man, regardless of how they identify, on a girl’s/women’s team. Most of us get that, but Liberals think it’s discrimination. They don’t realize that these confused men are stealing away scholarships/awards from women that have trained for far longer. Florida Gov DeSantis understands this basic concept and has signed into law a ban on transgender girls in female sports. Unlike many leaders, DeSantis is fixing the problem before it gets out of hand.

Gov. Ron DeSantis signed into law a ban on transgender girls from competing in girls’ and women’s sports at an event at a Christian school on the first day of Pride Month, which celebrates the LGBTQ community.

“We believe in the state of Florida protecting the fairness and integrity of women’s athletics,” said DeSantis, who was on stage Tuesday with several teenage girl athletes at the Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville. “… I can tell you that in Florida, girls are going to play girls’ sports and boys are going to play boys’ sports.”

Advocates say the law prevents an unfair advantage in competitions, but critics slam it as being discriminatory and unnecessary.”

The governor dismissed warnings from companies and the NCAA that it might pull events and sports championships from the state because of the bill.

“Some of these organizations say they’re not going to hold events if you do this, just let me say very clearly, in Florida, we’re going to do what’s right, will stand up to corporations, they are not going to dictate the policies in this state,” DeSantis said. “We will stand up to groups like the NCAA, who think that they should be able to dictate the policies in different states.”

The bill’s sponsor, Sen. Kelli Stargel, R-Lakeland, said at the event, “We all know that men are stronger than women.”

“I’ve always heard as a kid, ‘You run like a girl,’” she said of a video played at the event of Selina Soule, a Connecticut track athlete who sued over transgender girls competing in high school girls’ sports. “And when you’re looking at that video, it’s evident the woman, the transgender woman who competed, or self-identified woman, ran very differently than the others in the competition. It’s physiologically different. Men are stronger, they have bigger lung capacities, stronger muscles.”

This used to be common sense and a law like this was unnecessary, but nowadays women’s rights are being trounced upon by the trans community, and leaders are being forced to act in order to keep things fair. Hopefully, other states see this and follow suit in keeping girls sports female.
