We have all seen how CNN White House Correspondent Jim Acosta will get into with Trump during Press Conferences. He often speaks out of turn and asks numerous questions back to back taking up extra time and preventing many reporters from being heard. His questions are often loaded and vicious and you have to wonder why he is allowed to even attend the press conferences when he is constantly acting out. Former CNN Producer turned Media Analyst, Steve Krakauer has a theory about Acosta that may shine some light on what Acosta’s real motive is.
“I don’t think Jim Acosta is a bad guy. I worked with him at CNN, and he was a solid, competent reporter. If Acosta’s goal was to be a great White House reporter, he could probably do it. But that’s not Jim Acosta’s goal. Jim Acosta wants to be famous, Acosta clearly aspires to use this opportunity to spar with President Trump,” writes Mr. Krakauer.
“Jim Acosta loves nothing more than Jim Acosta. But I’ve also half-joked that if we found out, years from now, that Acosta was actually a plant and was secretly working for the Trump re-election campaign, I wouldn’t be shocked,” the columnist continues.
“Acosta plays the role of absurd, antagonistic journalist, and tees up Trump to deliver what could essentially be a campaign message,” Mr. Krakauer says, also citing PBS White House correspondent Yamiche Alcindor’s recent encounter with Surgeon General Jerome Adams over his use of “offensive” language in a coronavirus public outreach.
“Exchanges like the ones with Acosta and Alcindor during coronavirus briefings are actively helping Trump get re-elected — and they make all in the press look bad,” Mr. Krakauer concludes.”
This theory sounds farfetched. It could explain why he is constantly allowed back into the White House Press Conferences if were not for the fact, that they banned him before for acting out and knocking a mic out of an Aid’s hand. So it’s far more likely that he is just an attention-hungry Trump hater that makes the MSM look bad because that’s his job. His audience craves those fights with Trump, he likely gets a boost with the extra coverage he gets from his interactions with the president. So Krakauer is probably wrong on this one.

The majority of CNN’S script readers cannot intellectually discuss a theme without making fools of themselves especially “Fredo” Cumo, Don Lemon, Brian Skelter, the AC 360 wimp, Wolfie Blitzer, et al.
