Environmental Activists Super-Glue Themselves To Doors In Protest of Climate Change [VIDEO]

On Tuesday, a group of environmental protesters glued themselves to doorways which connect the Cannon Building to the U.S. Capitol.

The protest was an effort to stop the members of Congress from voting on a matter so they could protest climate change.

According to Fox News,

The protesters were with the D.C. chapter of the U.K.-based environmental group “Extinction Rebellion.” Eight people were charged with crowding, obstructing, or incommoding, USCP said. Seven also were charged with defacing public property.

In addition, nine were arrested in the Cannon House Office Building and charged with crowding, obstructing, or incommoding, according to USCP. Eight of them also were charged with defacing public property.

“We are superglued to the tunnels under the Capitol because what other choice do we have when our politicians choose money over life?” read an earlier tweet from Extinction Rebellion Washington, D.C.

The group shared on Twitter while they were glued to the doorways, “We are superglued to the tunnels under the Capitol because what other choice do we have when our politicians choose money over life? We are risking our freedom and safety to demand a climate emergency declaration.

Some of the comments they received on Twitter are absolutely brilliant!

“So you used materials that POLLUTE THE ENVIRONMENT WHEN MANUFACTURED & ISN’T BIODEGRADABLE to protest “climate change”? Then forced fossil fuel vehicles be used to come arrest you & take you to jail! Wow! You’re just all over it, aren’t you? Clowns.” – @RetiredArmy22

Police eventually arrested the members of the group and it’s likely not the first time they’ve been arrested.

The group is known for their stupid publicity stunts. Even as recent as April they held up traffic and public transportation in a protest which involved blockades and demonstrations. In that event, over 1,000 people were arrested.

Do these people not have jobs that they have to go to? Are they mooching off of the government completely?
