Cuomo Peeved That Sheriffs Are Saying That Won't Enforce His Executive Order
The Corona Virus is spiking again here in the United States and many state leaders are trying to combat it. New York Governor Cuomo has decided to get tough on his constituents to prevent the spread of the Corona Virus. But in true Liberal fashion, he is asking the police to do the impossible and of course infringing upon the rights of New Yorker. Cuomo is telling New Yorkers that they can not gather even for Thanksgiving in groups bigger than 10 people. He has asked Law Enforcement to enforce his order. But Law Enforcement agents are refusing to carry out his overzealous order. Cuomo is pissed.
"I don’t believe as a law enforcement officer you have a right to pick and choose what laws you will enforce,” Cuomo told reporters Wednesday during an Albany-based press conference. An EO is a law that has been litigated, Right."
“‘Well I don’t believe in that law and therefore I won’t enforce it," Cuomo mimicked Law Enforcement that refused to uphold his EO.
"That is frankly frightening to me as an individual, frightening to democracy, it’s arrogant and a violation of constitutional duty. “I didn’t say: I swear to uphold the laws that I agree with. I didn’t say that,” he continued.
“‘If I don’t agree with a law, then I’m not gonna enforce that law.’ No. Doesn’t matter what my opinion is, I’m a law enforcement officer. I enforce the laws. I don’t get to pick and choose.”
He then went on to make a hypothetical about Officers refusing to answer calls about Domestic Violence as if his executive order to limit the number of people at Thanksgiving is similar...

Notice that he doesn't have an answer for how to enforce his invasive COVID Ordinance. I get that he is trying to prevent the spread of the Corona Virus but you can't stop people from living. One of the Officers that refused to enforce Cuomo's EO explained that mental health problems have doubled due to this pandemic and the isolation people are feeling. The officer is worried about the well-being of his community. Thanksgiving is all about family and bringing everyone together. Cuomo should instead be advising that sick family member stay home and video chat instead of his tyrannical executive order.
