Biden has failed us big time here. There was no reason for this fiasco to happen. All he had to do is follow the instructions Trump left behind. But we saw how he is unable to do that with the border crisis. So now we have this disaster in Afghanistan, where we have numerous Americans stranded in the country trying to find their way to the airports, and the concerning part here is that the deadline is almost up and it looks like there is no way that they are going to get every American out of the country. So the Taliban issued an ultimatum saying get out by the agreed-upon August 31st or else, and it looks like Biden is about to comply. Rep Crenshaw has a different view. Crenshaw claims Biden needs to start playing hardball and threaten the lives of the Taliban if they don’t listen.
“This idea that anybody, any American that wants to get to the airport, can, is a flat-out lie. It’s been a lie for a while now.
“We need to send a very clear message to the Taliban [that] we’re not negotiating about our deadline,” he stated. “That should be our message. We should laugh at them when they say, ‘Oh, well, that’s a red line for us, you need to be out by Aug. 31.'”
“No, and if you get in our way when we are extracting Americans then we will kill you,” he continued, adding, “That is the only message that Biden should be delivering to the Taliban.”

He’s not wrong. Biden needs to start being more assertive during his moments of clarity. He should be sending more troops in to ensure every American gets home. If we flew in a couple of drones and gave the Taliban a demonstration on what could happen to them, they would likely shape up. But with Biden as America’s leader, he’s probably going to attempt to bribe them or bow to them.
