During this pandemic, Governor Cuomo has been making blunders left and right. But for some reason, he thinks that he is an expert when it comes to handling this pandemic. Cuomo gloated when numbers dropped, patting himself on the back for his efforts. Despite the fact that his leadership led to the death of numerous elderly after he decided to put infected people into nursing homes. So now Governor Cuomo is trying to lead the country since he feels so emboldened by his past “successes”. He wants the United States to ban travel to/from the U.K. because there have been cases of the new strain of Corona there. Coronavirus Task Force Testing Czar, Admiral Brett Giroir was asked how he felt about Cuomo’s demand and he knocked the Governor off his high horse.
Giroir commented on Gov Cuomo’s stance while appearing on CNN’s “New Day.”
“New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is concerned that it hasn’t happened already. He says that there were, I think, six flights a day coming from the United Kingdom. Makes sense to him that they would be banned now. What is your message to him?” Co-host John Berman asked Admiral Brett Giroir.
“My message to him is to practice what he preaches, listen to the scientists and the best epidemiologists in the CDC. Um, we know that the governor has been out front on many issues, uh wanting 40,000 ventilators when he didn’t need it, sending sick people back to nursing homes so I’d advise him to just to listen to the best experts that will be the best recommendation for the American people. We shouldn’t jump to any conclusions or actions that could be counterproductive. Listen to the experts. They’ll tell you what you we need to do,” Admiral Brett Giroir responded.

Cuomo should not be telling the country what it needs to do, that is way above his paygrade. He is the governor of New York and needs to focus on that. New York has had the worst infection and mortality rates in the country. Cuomo has no room to tell anyone how things should be done when he can’t even keep his own affairs in order.
