Brian Stelter decided to write a book called “Hoax: Donald Trump, Fox News, and the Dangerous Distortion of Truth.” In the book Stelter attacks Fox News hosts claiming they are spreading right-wing propaganda and that even their more moderate hosts like Wallace and Baier are still too biased. Stelter does this while having a show on CNN… Stelter appeared on Hugh Hewitt’s radio show and struggled when he was asked how his colleagues Don Lemon or Chris Cuomo were any better. But Hewitt held him to it and forced him to reveal that he was full of it.
“Professor Hugh Hewitt is a lawyer, law professor and broadcast journalist whose nationally syndicated radio show is heard in more than 120 cities across the United States every weekday afternoon.” He also worked for the Regan Administration for six years and is an outspoken conservative.
Hewitt hit a nerve when he got straight to the point and asked Stelter about the difference between Fox News and CNN.
Hewitt: “But do you agree or disagree that the opinion shows on CNN are just like the opinion shows on Fox?”
Stelter: “Of course, they’re not like the opinion shows on Fox. And if you watch the opinion shows, first of all, you need to watch prime time on Fox. It is poisonous. It is extremist rhetoric. And that’s why we should pay attention to it. It’s important to know what four, five, six million people are hearing every night, because it’s so extreme and so radical anti-Democrat, anti-Biden. That is not the same as what CNN or MSNBC is doing. It’s just not. Here’s my favorite example, Hugh. MSNBC, Rachel Maddow at 9 pm, she’s always saying buy a local newspaper, support local news, support a healthy media ecosystem. Sean Hannity says journalism is dead. He tells you not to trust anything else. I think there’s just a gigantic difference between what Fox is doing in prime time and the other networks.”
But Hewitt was ready for Stelter and prepared a clip of Lemon making a statement that made Hannity’s “journalism is dead” comment look plain.
The Clip:
Hewitt: “Brian Stelter, ‘blow up the whole system,’ ‘stack the courts,’ ‘amend the Constitution.’ That’s radical. That’s Don.”
Stelter: “That’s one person’s view of a situation. Why is that, why do you think that’s a big, why isn’t that shocking or surprising?”
Hewitt: “Because Don’s a, do you think Don is an opinion host or a news host?”
Stelter: “Don Lemon is a news anchor who has a point of view and talks about his point of view, because sometimes, the best way to get through the news and all the noise is to explain what’s happening in our own words.”
Hewitt then asked a question that Stelter could not answer.
Hewitt: “How can you contrast Don and Sean and say they’re any different? Don’s just a lefty, and Sean’s a righty. That’s all.”
Stelter faltered here and tried to bash Laura Ingraham for visiting the White House because of a connection to Barrett. He then tried boost his friend Lemon by saying that he would never use his connections like that.
But Hewitt was not done there, he trounced on Stelter again bringing up how Fox News was right about the Mueller Report being a Hoax, but Stelter, despite evidence to the contrary, was still not convinced and showed off just how biased he is against Fox News.

During his interview with Hewitt, Stelter shows off just how biased he is. He can barely be reasoned with and thinks that CNN and MSNBC are presenting the news in an unbiased fashion… Stelter even goes as far as to call Don Lemon a news anchor… Meanwhile, Fox News openly admits that Hannity and Carlson are political commentators, which shows that Fox is far more upfront than CNN has ever been.
