CNN Decides To Cover (Up?) Biden Sexual Allegations
It looks like CNN must have finally run out of anti-Trump news to run and has now decided to report on frontrunner Biden's sexual assault allegation. It's surprising that CNN would even chance tarnishing Biden's reputation as many Dems look to be sweeping this whole allegation under the rug just to help his campaign along against Trump. But the pressure must have mounted from #metooers. So instead of just covering the story they acted as Biden's personal defense and made it seem like the allegation was completely unwarranted despite the fact that there is a video that shows Reade's mother called in about Biden.
"CNN Newsroom host Fredricka Whitfield and national political correspondent M.J. Lee worked overtime to defend Biden, spending 40 percent of the report defending the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate and take jabs at Reade’s credibility."
"Lee highlighted Reade’s background as a staffer and hilariously claimed that only “recently” had Reade “alleged that Joe Biden had sexually assaulted her many years ago” before touting how CNN only “interviewed Reade for the first time on the phone last night.”
April 25 marked one month since Reade’s more serious allegation came to light, so CNN has quite the broad definition of “recently.”
Watch The Clip From 1993 About The Allegation Below.
"KING: San Luis Obispo, California, hello.
CALLER: Yes, hello. I’m wondering what a staffer would do besides go to the press in Washington? My daughter has just left there, after working for a prominent senator, and could not get through with her problems at all, and the only thing she could have done was go to the press, and she chose not to do it out of respect for him.
KING: In other words, she had a story to tell but, out of respect for the person she worked for, she didn’t tell it?
CALLER: That’s true."
#BREAKING: HERE is the video from August 11,1993's 'Larry King Live' described by @TheIntercept (and Tara Reade) as allegedly featuring her mother calling in and alluding to Reade's sexual assault claims against @JoeBiden (blog here by @ScottJW) https://t.co/fCgEqBnX7n pic.twitter.com/V5FGHskv56

Dems had less to go on with Kavanagh and that dragged on for weeks with non-stop coverage about something that was completely hearsay. This time they have proof that Reade told her mom in 1993 and they are acting like this is too vague. But Lee acted like this was by no means evidence.
"LEE: Now what Tara Reade told CNN last night on the phone is that this is, in fact, her mother's voice that she feels certain about that and that some time after the alleged assault in 1993, her mother did tell her that she had called in to Larry King and Reade told CNN she was upset about that at the time because she didn't want her mother doing anything of that kind. Now to be clear, this woman's voice that we just heard, she only refers to problems related to her daughter and a prominent senator, but she doesn't name any names. She certainly doesn't mention any details, doesn't say anything about sexual harassment or sexual assault, so I think it's just very important that we be clear about what this clip does and does not show. It does seem to suggest that Tara Reade did share something with her mother that she found troubling about her experience of working with a senator."
"After briefing outlining the disturbing alleged assault, Lee insisted that “the Biden campaign denies this allegation."
"Reade’s assault allegation, which became public last month, involves an interaction in the spring of 1993. She said that she was sent by her manager to bring a gym bag to Biden, and they met in a hallway of the Russell Senate Office Building, in a tucked away corner. Before she knew it, he pressed her up against the wall, forcibly kissed her, and put a hand each up her blouse and skirt, penetrating her with his fingers. She had what she recalls now as an “absurd” thought. “I remember thinking, where’s the gym bag? Because he had taken it in his hand, but all of a sudden it wasn’t in his hands and his hands were where they weren’t supposed to be,” she said.
Reade said that her impression was that Biden believed he had consent, and was surprised at the rejection, but that she had done nothing to give him that impression. “There was no flirtation, he had no consent. He was by my ears when he said, ‘Do you wanna go somewhere else?’” She pushed him off and he stepped back, looking surprised, she recalled, and flashing a huge smile.
“‘Come on, man,’” she said he told her. “‘I heard you liked me.’”
“He had that smile he gets, but his eyes were not smiling,” she said.
“You’re fine,” she recalled he said, grabbing her by her shoulders. As he walked away, he pointed back, “You’re fine.”
"Again carrying water for Biden, Lee boasted that “according to The Times, they interviewed some two dozen people who worked with Biden in the early 1990s and none of them corroborated Tara Reade's allegation.”
This is just how strong the bias is with Dems. Liberals always joke about how Trump could kill someone and his supporters wouldn't blink an eye. Well it's looking like Biden could practically rape a staffer and CNN would be there not only to defend, him but help him cover up any evidence.
