China is trying to overtake us as THE world power. So they are building up their military. In response Biden seems to be twiddling his thumbs and staring out with a vacant daze, or is that just the new norm? China is also planning to eventually take over Taiwan, which we plan to defend. Hopefully, we are ready for it…
“China commissioned 60,000 tons worth of major vessels earlier this month, officially putting into service a new nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine, a guided-missile cruiser, and an amphibious helicopter carrier on the 72nd anniversary of its Navy.
The unprecedented triple commissioning was carried out in a ceremony held at the Yulin naval complex near the city of Sanya on the southern Chinese island of Hainan. Yulin is the main naval base of the South Sea Fleet of the People’s Liberation Army Navy. The fleet’s area of responsibility lies in the waters of the nearby South China Sea.
Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the ceremony, which saw the Type 075 (Yushen-class) amphibious helicopter carrier Hainan, the Type 055 (Renhai-class) guided-missile cruiser Dalian and the Type 094 (Jin-class) nuclear-powered ballistic missile submarine Changzheng-18 join the PLAN.”
“U.S. military planners say China may invade Taiwan in the next six years, and former naval officers expect a war over Taiwan could spread to Australia, Japan, and even the Indian Ocean. Australian defense minister Peter Dutton told reporters Sunday a conflict between Taiwan and China “should not be discounted.”
Republicans suggest a larger navy and defense budget would meet the rising threat from China. It remains unclear, however, if the Biden administration will stay the course and build a larger U.S. fleet, as early signals from the White House indicate a stagnant defense budget.”
We have already called off our warships from the Black Sea earlier this year when Russia built up its troops along the Ukrainian border. So at this rate, we will just tell the Taiwanese we are sorry we couldn’t make it after China takes them over… What is Biden doing?
