California Dems Finds A New Way To Oppress Residents
The first wave of vaccines are being distributed throughout the nation and additional doses are being made with haste in an effort to end this pandemic. But in the meantime, many Americans are struggling especially in Dem lead states where they put forth so many restrictions that it's practically against the local laws to put food on the table. But I guess destroying the livelihood of residents is not enough.
Dem leaders in Manhatten Beach are taking things a step further as they are trying to ban sitting by removing any type of furniture you can sit on. The leaders there are of course doing this in the name of fighting the COVID virus as they feel this will prevent people from congregating unless they stand or sit on the ground... But I am sure the authorities would be called in for such offensive actions.
Manhattan Beach City's Twitter account tweeted about the new ban.
"As the number of new COVID-19 cases continues to rise in MB and across the County, the City is closing outdoor seating spaces on public property, effective Sunday, January 3rd at 10 pm. Tables and chairs located in the outdoor seating spaces will be removed at that time."
The tweet also included a message from the city's mayor, Suzanne Hadley.
“This recent spike in the virus is significant despite the good news last month of our Manhattan Beach firefighters receiving some of the first COVID-19 vaccinations,” Hadley said. “Although public seating areas will be closed temporarily, please continue supporting our local businesses that offer pick-up, curbside, take-out and delivery services.”
The post goes on to say that this is all of course to fight the spread of COVID, but this feels more than over the top. What's wrong with just encouraging masks and have people socially distance? Is it really necessary to take out all of the places people can sit? This seems petty and over the top when it comes to responding to COVID. I'd almost question as to whether this is just an excuse to try and take away a place from the homeless since California's homeless problem is out of control.
