California Chooses Illegals Over American Students

California is still on a semi-lockdown, they have only opened some businesses. But it seems they are far more worried about illegals than the Americans who legally live in the State. Governor Gavin Newsom announced that he will be giving 75 million dollars to illegals to help them through this pandemic. Newsom seems to have found the money in the 19 Billion he slashed from school budgets.

“California is home to more than 2 million undocumented immigrants who aren’t eligible to receive unemployment or stimulus checks from the government.

But the state has set up funding to help support them during the coronavirus crisis, providing $125 million through a public-private partnership. It’s been touted as the first fund of its kind to support undocumented immigrants. The state will contribute $75 million to the fund, with the remaining $50 million coming from private philanthropic partners.

A group of 12 immigrant-focused nonprofits across the state will help roughly 150,000 undocumented adults impacted by the virus apply for the funds. The application period begins Monday and runs through June 30.

The one-time payments will be $500 per adult, with a cap of $1,000 per household.”

“This comes at the same time that the Democratic governor of California has had to significantly cut the state’s budget. On Thursday, Newsom unveiled his revised state budget plan that was hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic lockdown.

“Newsom cut funding over the next two years for public schools and community colleges by $19 billion, or nearly a quarter, compared to projections provided in January. California is projected to have a budget deficit of $54.3 billion following the economic carnage caused by the months-long stay-at-home order.

A survey from last month found that unemployment has spiked so much that less than half of people in Los Angeles still have jobs. Newsom warned that the unemployment rate in California could peak as high as 24.5%.”

So California could have a nearly 25% unemployment rate and they want to throw out education and pay illegals instead? Just who is Newsom serving here because it is clearly not the American people.
