Trump put a hurt on Biden in the last debate. Wallace practically softened the blow for Biden by playing favorites. But we are about to have round two of the debate October 15th and now Biden has pulled an excuse out about how he is not sure if they should. Maybe they ran out of the miracle drug he took to sound semi-competent?
Biden is saying that he doesn’t want to debate Trump if he is still testing positive for the Corona Virus. But we are 8 days away from the debate so hopefully, Trump should be testing negative by that point.
“I think if he still has COVID, then we shouldn’t have a debate,” Biden said Tuesday evening.”
But on Monday before Trump got out he seemed more confident.
“I’ll do whatever the experts say is appropriate for me to do,” Biden told reporters as he boarded a flight Monday to campaign in the battleground state of Florida. “Listen to the science. If scientists say that it’s safe…then I think that’s fine.”
Trump also weighed in on Tuesday expressing his desire to once again mop the floor with the former VP.
“I am looking forward to the debate on the evening of Thursday, October 15th in Miami. It will be great!”
I don’t see why they can’t have the debate regardless of whether or not Trump is testing positive. We live in the digital age, Trump could be there virtually instead. We no longer live in an age where the debaters have to be in the same room. But we would still have to make sure that Biden doesn’t pull out a teleprompter or an earpiece. I get that Dems have already accepted that it is going to be the Harris-Biden campaign, but Biden is still the frontrunner on the ticket and has to prove that he is competent enough to have impromptu conversations.
