AOC Lashes Out At Dem Who Intends To Thwart The Progressive’s Agenda.

The progressive Dems can’t wait to try and pass all of their unreasonable bills. They were counting on Biden to make all of that possible. Biden made claims about how he was going to create a commission to reform the Supreme Court, and never said that he was against packing the court to counter the conservative majority. Dems also want to rid the Senate of filibustering and they were hoping that they would gain a Dem majority to make all of their goals possible.

But it looks like the GOP is going to have the majority and Dems now have a Senator with scruples amongst them that is by no means progressive. Senator Manchin has already vowed to vote against packing the court and ending filibusters. He is also against the Defund the Police movement.

Manchin tweeted about his stance on the Defund The Police movement.

“Defund the police? Defund, my butt. I’m a proud West Virginia Democrat. We are the party of working men and women. We want to protect Americans’ jobs & healthcare. We do not have some crazy socialist agenda, and we do not believe in defunding the police.”

AOC was not amused and posted the following in response.

Manchin had the following to say about filibusters.

“I really think that when you break the filibuster, you break the Senate, and I’m not going to be part of breaking the Senate, I can tell you that,” said Manchin. “The Senate is a pretty special place because the Founding Fathers intended it to be that way. But they also intended us to work in a bipartisan way and to where the minority always had input. You break the rules of the filibuster, the minority has nothing. There’s no purpose whatsoever. You’re no different than a glorified House.”

Manchin seems like a rarity amongst Dems but you know the squad and the progressives are going to be gunning for him. He is like AOC’s opposite, because she does in fact have a “crazy socialist agenda,” and he seems to be just as outspoken about his anti-socialist position.
