AOC Has A Racist Identity Crisis: "Latinos Are Black"
Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has made some ridiculous comments in the past. She has claimed that the migrant detention centers were comparable to Concentration Camps, claimed there is no middle class, and that climate change is just as dangerous as World War II was to America. But she's not done making off the wall remarks. AOC was asked what the Latinx community should do in order to help fight racism and she claimed that "Latinos are black." Didn't see that one coming...
"What do you think the Latinx community should do to stop racism among them and among other races?" AOC was asked.
Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez replied:
"A lot of times I'll hear people say, 'OK, this is about Black Lives Matter, what about Latinos?' and I always say, Latinos are black!"
“We run an entire racial spectrum so we have to have conversations around ‘colorism,’ and we have to have conversations around the African and indigenous roots from which we come and how that’s reflected in systems of power, wealth inequality, and frankly, our political system.”

This is a big change for AOC as she actually said the opposite not that long ago claiming she wasn't black.
“My identity is the descendant of many different identities. I am the descendant of African slaves. I am the descendant of Indigenous people. i am the descendant of Spanish colonizers… I am a descendant of all sorts of folks. That doesn’t mean I’m Black, that doesn’t mean I’m Native, but I can tell the story of my ancestors.”
"So what’s changed? In the wake of the George Floyd race riots, the left has focused its attention almost exclusively on black Americans. Some Twitter users speculated that the reason media darling AOC was not black a few months ago, but claims to be black now, may have something to do with a competition for victimhood. One user declared AOC “clearly can’t stand the fact she’s not the biggest victim right now.”
AOC is clearly trying to join in with the BLM movement and disassociate herself with white people. But really this is an odd response to what to do about racism, there were so many reasonable answers and she chooses to suddenly identify as black. Maybe she just learned this trick from Elizabeth Warren...
