The Biden Administration promised to look into The Supreme Court if they were elected into Office and sadly it looks like they are following through with it. Biden recently put together a commission that is looking into altering the courts, aka pack the court. Dems can’t stand that the court has a conservative lean now. They are upset that Trump was able to appoint so many of the Justices. But at least two judges allowed Trump to replace them.
Justice Anthony Kennedy retired while Trump was in Office and Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg should have retired under Obama had she wanted to ensure her replacement was also Liberal. Obama even invited her to the White House to talk about it. But she wanted to wait for Hillary to replace her, which was by no means a sure thing and we all know how that played out. So now Dems are upset and want to pack the court with more Liberals so that the court doesn’t have such a conservative lean. But they don’t like to think of it as packing the court, No, that sounds wrong. (because it is) Rep Nadler instead wants it called “unpacking” the court.

How is adding more judges to the court unpacking? This is just foolish. Most Americans don’t even want this.
“Among likely voters, 58% said Democrats should not look to increase the size of the Supreme Court, according to the results of a poll conducted from Oct.15-18 by the New York Times and Siena College. Just 31% said they were in favor of court-packing, while 11% of responders were undecided.
The responses skewed heavily based on political affiliation, with 57% of registered Democrats in favor of court-packing and just 28% opposed. Among registered Republicans, just 6% support an expansion of the Supreme Court, while 89% were against the concept.”
The SCOTUS has had liberal leans and conservative leans before. Dems are just being impatient this time around and are refusing to wait. Their plan actually sets a bad precedent. What happens when a Republican gets in Office? Are they going to reset the court or give it a lean? Ginsberg should have retired under Obama if she wanted to guarantee her seat to a Dem. She knew she was getting older. Dems should be angry that she held out. But instead now Dems are thinking of ruining the Supreme Court because it’s not Liberal enough for them.
