McConnell Bashes Pelosi For Playing Politics With American Lives

This pandemic has done a number on our economy and our whole way of life seems to have practically been put on hold especially in blue states where there are overbearing restrictions. Many Americans are still struggling to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads mainly due to the poor leadership of Dems. But it turns out Americans could have had a second Corona Relief Package this past summer if it were not for Pelosi. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has been purposefully refusing to accept anything that the GOP offers, she even turned down a bill that Trump proposed that would have been middle ground at 1.8 Trillion. She claimed it was not enough but now that the election is over Pelosi has decided to make a deal for 900 Billion. Senator McConnell called her out for leaving Americans in the lurch to try and make Trump look bad.

McConnell said as much during an appearance on FOX News.

I said back in July what the country needed was a package roughly of a trillion dollars focused on kids in school, small businesses, health care providers, and direct cash payments … We started advocating that in July and August. The talks were unproductive, so I essentially put that bill on the floor of the Senate in both September and October. Not a single Democrat supported it. Their view was, give us everything we want or we won’t give you anything.

“It’s noteworthy.” McConnell added, “that at the end they finally gave us what we could have agreed to back in July. I think what held it up was they did not want to do anything before the presidential election. I think they felt that would disadvantage the president.”

This is B.S. Americans could have had some relief in these trying times including small businesses. But No, Pelosi had to stick it to Trump because the welfare of Americans comes second to her hate for the president.
