We still have protesters around the nation demanding the police be defunded. In many cases, these protests are devolving and causing almost unfathomable amounts of damage to cities. If that were not bad enough there are many people that have also been hurt or in some cases even killed due to these peaceful protests. But at the end of the day just how much is it going to cost to clean up the mess left by BLM? Insurance Information Institute set out to find out and so far claims that just the protests from May 26th to June 8th have caused over a billion dollars in damage. This is what happens when State governments let rioters run wild.
“Insurance Information Institute (or Triple-I) compiles information from a company called Property Claim Services (PCS), which has tracked insurance claims related to civil disorder since 1950, and other databases. It provided reports to Axios that the damage from unrest between May 26 and June 8 will be the most expensive in the nation’s history, surmounting the Rodney King riots of 1992 in Los Angeles.
The price tag could be as much as $2 billion and possibly more, according to Triple I. But the protests related to Floyd differ from others the database has tracked – never before have they been so widespread.
“It’s not just happening in one city or state – it’s all over the country,” Loretta L. Worters of the Triple-I told Axios. “And this is still happening, so the losses could be significantly more.”
BLM and these anti-police protesters are causing Billions of dollars in damages, all while demanding that the peace keeps be defunded. That’s one way to cover your butt. But it’s ok the liberal leaders are surely expecting American taxpayers to pick up the tab on the mass destruction left behind by BLM. So they of course don’t care what BLM does.
