Here’s Why Drug Addicts Can’t Wait For Buttigieg To Become President

Presidential Candidate Pete Buttigieg has been making the news more often now, especially after the Iowa Caucus debacle. Establishment Dems would rather back him than Sanders. But it seems Buttigieg is trying to appease the leftist as he is now pushing to reform drug laws and not just marijuana. The Indiana Mayor wants to legalize all drugs, including crack and meth. I’m sure this will make the public safer…

“Mayor, you not only want to decriminalize marijuana, you want to decriminalize all drug possession. You say that the better answer is treatment, not incarceration,” Wallace said broaching the topic of drug legalization.

“That’s right,” Buttigieg replied.

“But isn’t the fact that it’s illegal to have, to possess, meth and heroin, doesn’t the fact that it’s illegal act as a deterrent to actually trying it in the first place?” Wallace asked.

Buttigieg tried to dodge the question, but Wallace made sure he answered.

“But you would decriminalize it, so it wouldn’t be illegal,” Wallace said redirecting the Dem.

“Possession should not be dealt with through incarceration,” Buttigieg replied,

“But you would say that possession of heroin is not illegal?” Wallace asked trying to get him to clarify his intent.

“Is not going to be dealt with through incarceration,” Buttigieg repeated himself.

But Wallace was not deterred so he asked Buttigieg the same question in a new way.”But your website says ‘decriminalize’; it would not be illegal.”

“Yes, or it could be a misdemeanor, Buttigieg finally answered.”The point is not the legal niceties. The point is that we have learned through 40 years of a failed war on drugs that criminalizing addiction doesn’t work. Not only that, the incarceration does more harm than the offense that it’s intended to deal with.”

So under Buttigieg’s plan, we would have crackheads and meth-heads roaming the streets freely. Police would be practically powerless to go after druggies for and their hands would be tied. Decriminalization to this scale would adversely affect the public. Just another reason why we need Trump to continue to run our country.
