The Dems have been demanding to have John Bolton as a witness for the impeachment trial. Senators have been arguing back and forth about whether they will have witnesses at all. Bolton and Trump’s conversations are supposed to be protected by executive privilege but if Bolton’s statements are seen as true and he is allowed to testify before the Senate, Trump could be in trouble.
“This weekend, a report in The New York Times revealed an excerpt from the forthcoming book titled “The Room Where it Happened” – an apparent reference to the Broadway musical “Hamilton” – that could prove pivotal in the impeachment trial against President Trump.
In it, Bolton wrote that the president told him in August that he wanted to continue to freeze almost $400 million in security assistance to Ukraine until officials there helped with investigations into Democrats, including the Biden family.”
During a segment on Fox and Friends, Judge Napolitano reacted to Bolton’s claim.
“Napolitano said that while both the president and Bolton are protected by privilege, the question is whether or not Bolton could start “spilling the beans” under oath in the well of the Senate.
“And, that’s where the authority is divided,” he remarked.”
Trump weighed in on Bolton’s claim.

Trump’s lawyers will likely prevent Bolton from ever being a witness. But Bolton has muddied the water with his book’s claims, raising doubt regardless of how true. We can only hope that GOP Senators are not swayed by a disgruntled former employee.
If the claims are true …. Bolton should be arrested, tried, and hanged for his crimes of endangering National Security & disseminating privileged conversations.
If the claims are NOT true …. Bolton should be arrested, tried, and hanged for his crimes of Making War against the United States and Tempering with elections.
Either way, Bolton is a Criminal and MUST be held to account … Like Schiff-for-Brains and the rest of that bunch.
First of all, this was a leak and the book is not out yet. No one knows if this was in his book. Second of all Bolton is a traitor if he is writing about this. IF true, he should have gone to the inspector general at the time. But he didn’t.
Third of all, there we have no THOUGHT CRIMES. There isn’t such a thing. (“Minority Report” anyone?) Fourth of all IF said, that is his word against the President. Bolton was upset he was let go–he has more reason to lie (an axe to grind). So I believe the President. NOTE: IF this is in his book, no one should ever hire Bolton as a national security advisor again, since this would prove Bolton should never to be trusted again.

This happened back in the early ’70’s with the book “Empire” when nixon bought 700,000 copies of the book.. (I have 2).. The book was about H. Hughes and BB Reboso.. Those that are senior citizens will remember this..
