Watch: The Dumpster Fire That Is Seattle Riots Escalated Sending Officers To The Hospital

I know that title seems a little harsh. There are still fine people living in the Seattle area who just happened to have found themselves trapped under the insane thumb of unhinged anti-police rioters.  To say that things boiled over Sunday would be a gross understatement. Rioters set off a ‘large explosion’ near a police vehicle that hospitalized at least one officer.

“The protest began in the Seattle neighborhood of SoDo around 7 p.m., with an estimated 100 people marching on foot with cars following behind them, according to a Monday morning press release by the Seattle Police Department,” Fox News reported Monday. “They made their way to the building that houses the Seattle Police Officer Guild and, within hours, the demonstration turned violent.”

Reports show that Sunday was specifically more destructive as rioters a large incendiary device allegedly targeting officers.

“Multiple explosives were thrown toward officers,” Seattle’s police department said in a statement. “Several officers were struck by explosives and injured.”

Fox News shared photos of Sunday’s attack. In the images, one officer has lacerations on his beck and face as well as bruises below his eye. A separate image showed a different officer who had sustained burns from one of the blasts.

“Three officers were hurt, and one was taken to an area hospital for their injuries,” Fox News said. ‘Their condition was not immediately known.”

Thankfully reports show that injuries officers received were not life-threatening. Seattle has been overrun by ‘demonstrators’ since about June when protesters created the ‘Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone’. The city has since broken down the barriers to the zone but that did not fix the problem of violent rioters. In fact, things have continued to smolder in Seattle with police declaring a riot when the demonstration began- it’s that routine.

WATCH

Barring a total intervention from the White House, I just don’t see how Seattle will find their way back to normal. Officers are clearly doing their best but it’s easy to see how entering an anti-police warzone every day can wear on their morale.

What a shame.
