By now I hope you have all seen the footage of House Speaker and Radical left supporter Nancy Pelosi using her status to force a San Francisco hair along to open their shuttered doors to service her. Pelosi, who is seen in the video not wearing a mask, even while the staff continues to wear theirs, demanded an apology from the shop owner. The owner, Erica Kious blew the whistle on Pelosi and called the powerful Democrat out for her double standards that have left many shop owners in ruins.
Pelosi called the shop owner’s understandable outrage a ‘set up’. “There was no way I could’ve set that up,” Kious fired back. “I’ve had a camera system in there for five years. I mean, I didn’t go in there and turn cameras on as soon as she walked in and set her up. So that is absolutely false.”
Kious’s salon has been closed since March. That’s 6 long months despite meeting requirements to reopen. Kious had shield guards installed and placed chairs 6 feet apart but her local government decided that salons must service outside. Since Kious’s salon dyes hair- she is excluded from this option because using chemicals outside is prohibited.
“I heard that,” Kious told Carlson, “and I thought to myself, ‘Well as a hairstylist, I see clients one-on-one. So, that would mean that I would be open, right?'”
Kious said she had no intention of making a political statement by releasing the footage, but emphasized that Pelosi’s cavalier appearance in her salon “was more hurtful” than anything else.
“This isn’t even political,” she stressed. “She’s been coming in there … it’s the fact that she actually came in, didn’t have a mask on, and I just thought about my staff and people not being able to work and make money and provide for their families, and if she is in there comfortably without a mask and feeling safe, then why are we shut down? Why am I not able to have clients come in?”
Kious, a single mother of two children according to Fox News, said she has received several threats since Pelosi’s comments earlier Wednesday, and will likely be forced to leave the community she’s serviced for 12 years.
“Since this has happened, I have received nothing but hate text messages, death threats, [saying that] they’re going to burn my hair salon down,” she said. ” My Yelp page is just unbelievable with bad reviews.
“It’s just sad that my community is pulling this … saying that I threw her under the bus when I didn’t,” Kious said. “So that’s hurtful, but yeah, I think I’m pretty much done now.”
WATCH
You know, I doubt Pelosi will consider the damage she’s caused to this poor owner and her employees but it’s heartbreaking to watch Pelosi use her fame to close Erica’s salon for good.
