Back in 2016, Billionaire Bloomberg was not running for president, so he was more vocal when it comes to expressing how he really feels about the very people that all Americans rely on, farmers. Bloomberg implied that farming did not take intelligence, and that anyone could do it. At the time he was comparing the Information Technology Field with farming, claiming not everyone had the “gray matter” to handle the IT field, whereas farming, in his opinion, was so easy a caveman could do it.
“I could teach anybody, even people in this room, no offense intended, to be a farmer,” Bloomberg said. “It’s a process. You dig a hole, you put a seed in, you put dirt on top, add water, up comes the corn. You could learn that. Then we had 300 years of the industrial society. You put the piece of metal on the lathe, you turn the crank in the direction of the arrow and you can have a job. And we created a lot of jobs. At one point, 98 percent of the world worked in agriculture, now it’s 2 percent in the United States.”
“Now comes the information economy and the information economy is fundamentally different because it’s built around replacing people with technology and the skill sets that you have to learn are how to think and analyze, and that is a whole degree level different. You have to have a different skill set, you have to have a lot more gray matter.
“It’s not clear the teachers can teach or the students can learn, and so the challenge of society of finding jobs for these people, who we can take care of giving them a roof over their head and a meal in their stomach and a cell phone and a car and that sort of thing. But the thing that is the most important, that will stop them from setting up a guillotine someday, is the dignity of a job.”

And now Bloomberg wants to represent the people that do not have the “gray matter” to do other jobs. Farming is by no means an easy job, but it is by far one of the most important jobs we have in our society, as they feed America. But the Dems never seem to appreciate the heartland of America, just look at what Hillary said. She called middle America “backwards” and then said she only won areas that are “optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward.” So no wonder Bloomberg is considering Hillary for VP, she likely feels the same way he does about farmers.
Bloomberg proably couldnt drive a tractor
BLOOMBERG HAS TROUBLE FINDING HIS A$$ WHILE SITTING ON BOTH HANDS……
Gary – he would just hire someone else to do such a menial task…………..
Is there a single person running as a democRAT that has ever worked a real down and dirty job?
Elitists like little nanny warbucks think that salt of the earth jobs – like farming, which requires grit, determination and perseverance to be successful, are so far beneath them that they can’t even conceive what makes us plain old working stiffs what we are. And they can’t figure out why we hold them in such contempt.
Hey Mike, there’s plenty of time to grow a crop between now and the election and show us how easy it is.
My friend the potato farmer happens to have a PhD in microbiology. Try teaching him something, minimike!
