I seriously wish this was a joke but it’s more frightening proof that they walk among us. I shudder to think that this professor is pushing her political views on the young minds of tomorrow.
Ann D’Alessio Parson is a sociology professor at Portland State University has declared math ‘racist’. She tried and failed to explain her point but from what I have gathered what she is implying is that math was used to count and sell slaves and therefor math itself is evil. After looking up Parson’s rating on ‘ratemyproffesor‘ I found that the unhinged educator is everything you would expect her to be.
Pason has a 1.9 star rating with most students complaining about her pushing her observed political views as facts. One student explained that she blamed the ‘toxic masculinity’ of meat-eating for trouble in the Chilean economy as one former student explained:
“I was asked to remove the class last semester due to disagreeing with her stance on how meat affects Chilean culture. Growing up near Iquique, I know the culture far better than her. There is no toxic masculinity related to eating meat – its just part of the diet. Its desert and easier to grow cattle than crops. I withdrew from the class.”
Another former student wrote, “Tries to make associations between random things in society that make absolutely no sense to anyone. She also is obsessed with claiming that everything somehow contributes to masculine behavior.”
Another former student points out that the educator isn’t just politically motivated but bad at her job: “I took DLPs Food Justice course at Willamette and did not enjoy it. She used the same readings and assignments for all her classes (with different topics) so even though it was supposed to be a food justice class, we mainly talked about general soc. topics instead. She has bad time management and does not lead class well. Dont take this class!”
And another: “Worst professor on Campus. Cares more about expressing her political view points than educating her students. Should not be in a teaching role.”
Yet another:” Awful prof. Tries to brainwash students with her political views. Does not present an unbiased perspective. Will never take a course of hers again and told all my friends to switch out of her sections.”

Just think, someone pays her actual money to teach them.
