It feels like this pandemic has been going on forever already and we are only a few months in here in the United States. Last month China was claiming that the United States is somehow to blame for this pandemic when there are reports that this virus leaked from one of their labs. Here in the U.S. we have strict rules that have to be followed in labs that deal with dangerous viruses, they have numerous protocols to protect the welfare of Americans. But as it turns out we visited China’s Wuhan lab in the past and told them they need to up their safety protocols and it appears they didn’t listen.
“U.S. officials warned in January 2018 that the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s work on “SARS-like coronaviruses in bats,” combined with “a serious shortage” of proper safety procedures, could result in human transmission and the possibility of a “future emerging coronavirus outbreak.”
In a series of diplomatic cables, one of which was obtained by The Washington Post’s Josh Rogin, U.S. Embassy officials warned their superiors that the lab, which they had visited several times, posed a serious health risk that warranted U.S. intervention. The officials were concerned enough about their findings to categorize the communications as “Sensitive But Unclassified,” in order to keep them out of the public eye.
“During interactions with scientists at the WIV laboratory, they noted the new lab has a serious shortage of appropriately trained technicians and investigators needed to safely operate this high-containment laboratory,” the cable reads.
“The cable was a warning shot,” one U.S. official told Rogin. “They were begging people to pay attention to what was going on.”
China likes to claim that this virus stemmed from the market in Wuhan but experts don’t believe this is the case.
“The idea that is was just a totally natural occurrence is circumstantial. The evidence it leaked from the lab is circumstantial. Right now, the ledger on the side of it leaking from the lab is packed with bullet points and there’s almost nothing on the other side,” a U.S. official told Rogin.”
So not only did China accidentally leak this virus from one of their labs, they were told that their practices were unsafe and started a pandemic with their gross negligence. And they have the nerve to blame the United States for a virus they infected the public with… If China had just tightened up their safety protocols we could all be living normally and our economy wouldn’t have tanked.

Ebola from China, Sars H1N1 from China and now Covid 19, Its got to stop now and something needs to be done about China, I don’t want to write my opinion here of what should be done about putting a stop to China, but if nothing is done China will eventually destroy our planet. And Ive been saying this since back in 1979 when my German Grandfather told me back then in Germany that one day the world will be in great trouble because of China. Was the unsafeness known before or only after the $3.7 billion grant to China for Wuhan Lab work from NIH? Who in the US pushed or continued the grant regardless of the unsafeness?
