They Killed Innocent People, And The Judge Brought Them To Tears With…

Teenagers are prone to making stupid mistakes that they’ll end up regretting. Sometimes, the mistakes are minor and inconsequential. At other times, they’re so grave, they change the trajectory of their lives and that of everyone else involved.

Jacob Mouzon and Drake Campbell, 17 and 18, respectively were accused of armed robbery, burglary, attempted murder, and murder. All very violent crimes, the teenagers knew they were going to suffer for their actions, or so they thought.

What they didn’t know is their judge in the full courtroom was determined to serve the justice they deserved. Upon realization, they did the last thing you’d expect teens capable of murder to do. Amongst the angry judge and full house, they began to start crying like babies.

Jacob and Drake probably did not imagine things to turn out this way. There must have been a point in their lives when they dreamed of becoming people with bright futures. However, it did not turn out that way because of a twisted fate…

According to authorities from Huger, South Carolina, five young men broke into a home where twenty-eight-year-old Kadeem Johnson lived. During the invasion, Johnson was shot and killed by at least one of the suspects involved in the case.

Police launched a massive search operation for the suspects, and captured three of the five men.

The three captured suspects, Jacob Mouzon, Drake Campbell, and Kenneth Campbell Jr., appeared in a bond court before a judge facing charges of armed robbery and attempted murder.

The family of Jacob Mouzon appeared in court to speak to the judge.

Jacob’s father told the judge: “Jacob is like any 18-year-old, head strong. The mistake that he made against the victim’s family, I would like to apologize to them.”

The father told the judge that Jacob was going into the South Carolina Army Reserves and planned to attend South Carolina State University in the fall.

“First, I would like to apologize to the family for my son,” Jacob’s mother told the judge. “He’s not a horrible person like everybody thinks, and our family is in shock.”

Jacob’s sister spoke to the judge as well.

“Jacob is my best friend,” she said. “And I know what he did was wrong. I completely understand that. But he is not a bad person. He really isn’t.”

Despite the family’s pleas, the judge denied bond for all three suspects in custody. Police are actively searching for the other two suspects.
