It’s weird how there is suddenly practically silence from the left. They could not talk about the supposed “kids in cages” enough while Trump was in Office. AOC, in particular, went all the way down to the border to see that things were not anywhere near what the MSM was saying. But now that we have reports of kids starving and being forced to sleep in shifts, and overcrowding of detention centers to the point that the Biden Admin is saying they are going to use $86 million to put them up in hotels, where are the Libs? Senator Cruz called out Kamala Harris for blocking the media and let her know that they intend to visit the cages that she swore to empty.
Cruz tweeted about it.
“Kamala, tomorrow 17 senators are joining me at the TX border. The Biden admin is refusing to allow press to see the CBP facilities. Since you’ve promised to “release children from cages,” surely your admin will allow media to film the empty cages. If not, what are you hiding?”
His tweet was a reply to her promise to get rid of detention centers and release kids from cages.
“As president, I will immediately put in place a meaningful process to review asylum cases. I will release children from cages. I will get rid of the private detention centers. It’s time we had a president whose actions reflected the values of our country.”
“The Biden administration has cited coronavirus protocols as the reason why the press was not allowed in.
“That’s their stated justification. Never mind that they are packing thousands upon thousands of illegal immigrants in packed facilities. It is reporters and cameramen that pose the COVID threat. And Harris, that’s obviously absurd. I can tell you, I’ve taken border trips,” Cruz said during an appearance on “The Faulkner Focus.” “I’ve been to those facilities many times in the Obama administration, in the Trump administration, and they’ve always let media in. It is only the Biden administration that is engaged in this blackout…”
So what do migrant’s lives matter less now that a Democrat is in Office? It sure seems that way. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and the rest of the Dems did not care one bit when Obama was putting migrants in detention centers. It was only when Trump took office that it was suddenly an issue and now that they have a Dem in Office again, they are not even acknowledging that there is a crisis.
