Over A Dozen Nuns From The Same Convent Dropped Dead, The Reason Is Absolutely Heartbreaking…

A congregation in Livonia, Michigan is sharing that beginning on Good Friday, 13 of its nuns have died from COVID-19. The nuns were all seniors, aged 69-99.

Tragedy struck a Michigan convent, where 13 women in a convent have died from COVID-19 complications, according to media reports. Twelve of the sisters from the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Felix of Cantalice in Livonia died from April 10 to May 10, according to Susanne English with the Felician Sisters of North America.

Overall, 18 other sisters at the convent contracted the illness from the coronavirus. One of those 18 sisters who first survived the disease later died from its effects on June 27, making her the 13th victim in the Livonia convent.

The sisters in the convent are also known as the Felician Sisters, and they live and work together.

“We couldn’t contain the grief and the sorrow and the emotional impact,” said Sr. Noel Marie Gabriel, director of clinical health services for the Felician Sisters of North America. “We went through the motions of doing what we had to do, but that month was like a whole different way of life. That was our most tragic time. It was a month of tragedy and sorrow and mourning and grieving.”

According to AWM, due to the health guidelines and the risk of transmission, the sisters were forbidden from attending the funerals of their sisters. This made the grieving process even more difficult as they could not celebrate the life of these religious women or give them the appropriate send-off to the afterlife.

The convent lost teachers, an author, and a secretary for the Vatican Secretariat of State. They will be sorely missed.
