The Dems have been trying their best to avoid talking about Iranian General Soleimani’s murderous past. They know if they start talking about how he is a terrorist that had a hand in the deaths of 600 Americans, then they would have to admit Trump was not wrong for taking out the killer. Presidential Candidate Elizabeth Warren tried her best to push the Dem narrative about how evil it was to go after Soleimani but McCain forced her to admit he was a terrorist.
“I believe you respect the American military and respect our troops. You have traveled overseas many times. I just want to say that first and foremost. You issued a statement calling Soleimani a murderer. Later, you issued a second statement saying that he was ‘an assassination of a senior foreign military official.’ Now, this is a man who is obviously responsible for hundreds of American troops’ deaths, carnage that we can’t even imagine.”
“The Treasury Department and the State Department have both designated the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist organization — I don’t understand the flip flop. I don’t understand why it was so hard to call him a terrorist and I would just like you to explain,” McCain asked Warren.
Warren started off by saying all three of her brothers were in the military and then said her perspective had not changed “they’re truths.”
“The question is what is the response that the president of the United States should make, and what advances the interests of the United States of America?” she asked. Think about Saddam Hussein you want to talk about a “bad guy,” she added, “however, going to war in Iraq was not in the interest of the United States.”
McCain then pressured Warren to admit that Soleimani is a terrorist.
“Do you think he’s a terrorist?” McCain asked trying to get Warren on the record.
Warren started “part of a group that has been designated as terrorists-
McCain then asked, “So he is not a terrorist?”
“Of course he is, Warren finally admitted.
“He’s part of a group that our federal government has designated a terrorist. The question though, is what’s the right response? And the response that Donald Trump has picked is the most incendiary and has moved us right to the edge of war, and that is not in our long-term interests.”

It is in our long term interests to defend our nation from attacks. We can’t just sit back and take it. It’s important that the U.S. let other countries know that we will not tolerate attacks.
That was like pulling teeth, but at least Warren admitted that Soleimani was a terrorist and that’s the first step. McCain has a point though, the Dems have been avoiding that truth like the plague because it further justifies Trump’s actions. He didn’t just takeout a random Iranian, this was an enemy of the United States that should have been dealt with by now. So Trump killed two birds with one stone when he took out Soleimani. He let Iran know that attacks on the U.S. would not be tolerated and killed a terrorist in the process. Everyone regardless of political standing should appreciate this.
Fauxcahontas no want warpath. Of course she doesn’t want someone killed just because they killed American troops. They tend to vote overwhelmingly Republican. Heck, if they could, the Dems would kill us themselves.
Isn’t her consistent positioning similar? Isn’t that the crux of why Democrats (Democratic Socialists, Socialists, gentle communists, or what they are calling themselves today). They typically avoid confrontation with any foreign group that hates America. It was very common for Obama to cowtow to Islamic leadership and instead of confrontation he would deliver pallets of money only hoping to glean the appropriate response. Like one Democratic leader stated, “give them hugs, and they will love us”.

The writer of this article just said “McCain”. I was wondering if it was the spirit of John McCain. It wasn’t until the description of the video that I saw @MeghanMcCain. Our Indian Senator can’t take a stand on anything, nor can she answer a direct question.

Wonder how many Americans would have died at the hands of Soleimani had he not been targeted…and what is the difference between Soleimani and Obama’s assassination of bin Laden? Was bin Laden justified? How? Did it not have the same effect on our enemies? Obama was lauded and praised, yet Trump is made to look like he did something wrong. If he did, than so did Obama.
What I really want to hear from Bernie and Joe is, what would be their response be if Iran or North Korea sent a nuclear weapon to hit the United States? Because this isn’t just speculation, Iran has already made threats not only against the U.S. but also Israel: In 2018 “A senior Iranian cleric seen as close to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei told worshippers at Eid holiday prayers in Tehran: “The price of a war with Iran is very high for America. “They know if they harm this country and this state in the slightest way the United States and its main ally in the region, the Zionist regime (Israel), would be targeted,” Ahmad Khatami said. The Revolutionary Guards said on Wednesday they would continue increasing Iran’s defensive capabilities not surrender to U.S. pressure to scrap its ballistic missile program.” So in the realistic event of this happening, how would Bernie and Joe respond. American voters have a right to know. Any president of the United States must be prepared to protect America and also America’s ally Israel.
