Huge Win For Churches On Life Support In Cali, Leaves Gov Newsom Foaming At The Mouth

California Churches have all but been put on life-support following tyrannical lockdown orders from Democrats. Their rights to worship were ripped out from under them early on and many members have been left without guidance for much of this horrific pandemic.

A federal court of appeals just put the first foot in the right direction by ruling in favor of Californian churches and against the power-hungry Governor Gavin Newsom. Churches saught to challenged the indoor service ban and their pleas were heard.

“The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals awarded the South Bay United Pentecostal Church relief against the state’s worship restrictions. The church is one of several that have taken California governor Gavin Newsom (D.) to court over coronavirus lockdowns. The decision comes just days after the Supreme Court granted relief to a Pasadena church.

“The guidance from the Supreme Court makes it clear that the restrictions in California are unconstitutional. It’s just a matter of time before they’re struck down,” Paul Jonna, special counsel to the Thomas More Society, which worked on the case, told the Washington Free Beacon in a phone interview.

The lawsuits successfully argued that Newsom unfairly targeted religious services while openly welcoming secular indoor gatherings and large outdoor protests. The church also criticized Newsom for attending a dinner at a high-end restaurant in Napa Valley while he was urging Californians to make sacrifices to combat the spread of the virus.”

Newsom’s lockdown measures have reached new levels of insanifty on a weekly basis. All the while, Newsom his Hollywood pans and follow Democrats seem to be immune from their own orders.

Another California church is already appealing to the Supreme Court. On Tuesday, the Liberty Counsel filed the final reply brief on behalf of Harvest Rock Church and Harvest International Ministry that have campuses across the state including Pasadena, Los Angeles, Irvine and Corona. The group filed a lawsuit against Governor Newsom for what it calls an “unconstitutional worship ban and discriminatory treatment.” According to the Liberty Counsel, Justice Elena Kagan issued an order to Newsom to respond to the churches’ request.

In a statement, Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman Mat Staver said, “Governor Gavin Newsom’s ‘color-coded executive edicts’ violate the freedom to worship, which is protected in the First Amendment. No pastor, church, or parishioner in America should have to choose between worship and prison. This discrimination must stop.”
