Pythons are indigenous to Southeast Asian rainforests and grassy marshes, and the Florida Everglades are home to a sizable number of them. They can grow to a length of 23 feet and a weight of 200 pounds, making them one of the top five largest snakes in the world. A python’s average length is 12 feet.
They are among the world’s biggest and deadliest snakes. Pythons are stunning reptiles with distinctive markings that include two horizontal lines across the head and dark brown patches, they are also roughly capable of taking down animals as large as alligators and deer.
However in this case a 15ft long python regurgitates a farmer’s champion fighting rooster. When Nut Wattana awoke at his residence in Pathum Thani, Thailand, he discovered two of his best cocks were gone.
The chicken farmer assumed they had left the coop, but when he saw the stodgy python hanging from the roof with a huge belly, it pretty much solved the case of his missing chicken. He was then frightened at the sight.
Nut Wattana called rescuers who carefully prized the snake from the rafters and laid it on the ground to patiently wait for it to regurgitate the fighting cock. The first of the roosters is shown being spewed out by the deadly reptile in the video, emerging dead and covered in slime.
The other bird was found dead nearby.
First being aware that some of his roosters were missing, Nut Watana, the farmer, said, “I didn’t hear the sound of the two cocks in the morning so I went to look for them.”
He said, “I saw the python had eaten one of the birds, which cost me altogether about 30,000 baht ($940). I can’t save the birds now. They were two of my favorites. Thankfully I have a lot more roosters and chickens.”
As for ill will towards the snake, Wattana said he feels none and there’s no beef, explaining, “I forgive the snake because it was just their natural instinct.”
Wattana did not hold the snake responsible for the slaughter, despite the fact that he lost fighting roosters valued at roughly $1000 in the snake attack. The snake was merely attempting to live. But in order to stop this kind of disaster from happening again, Wattana will definitely spend more money on improved fencing and other safety precautions.
