Finally, the mask slips as a popular news source is exposed for its leftist bias and state affiliation, sparking a heated debate among its supporters.
NPR, the so-called “objective” news source, has finally been exposed for what it truly is – a leftist propaganda machine funded by taxpayers. Twitter has recently labeled NPR as “U.S. state-affiliated media,” putting it in the same category as notorious propaganda outlets like Russia’s RT and China’s Xinhua. This has unsurprisingly triggered an outcry from liberals, who refuse to accept the truth about their beloved public radio.
Why is NPR upset about this label, you might ask? It’s because they fear that it might reveal their true identity as an organization deeply intertwined with the federal government. Established by an act of Congress, NPR’s funding primarily comes from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), which was created by former President Lyndon Johnson. The CPB still relies heavily on Congress for its funding and was responsible for starting PBS in 1969.

The fact that NPR is funded by the state makes it no different from other state-sponsored propaganda machines. The liberal outrage over Twitter’s label is amusing, considering how they conveniently ignore that other media organizations funded by the government, such as Voice of America, BBC, and Stars and Stripes, do not have the same label. Perhaps these organizations should also be labeled as state-affiliated media for transparency’s sake.
NPR’s defenders argue that their editorial independence remains uncompromised despite their state funding. However, a closer look at their staff reveals a roster of card-carrying progressives who subscribe to the liberal agenda. With their unwavering belief in the New World Order and other leftist ideologies, there’s no chance of NPR’s editorial stance leaning conservative.
The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, NPR’s cash cow, is set to receive $525 million in its next fiscal year. This funding will be distributed among PBS, NPR, and hundreds of public TV and radio stations, which will, in turn, pay programming fees to NPR and PBS. In response to Twitter’s label, NPR requested the removal of the “state” designation on April 4th, followed by an official statement on April 5th.

NPR president and chief executive John Lansing expressed his discontent with Twitter’s label, stating, “NPR and our Member stations are supported by millions of listeners who depend on us for the independent, fact-based journalism we provide. NPR stands for freedom of speech and holding the powerful accountable. It is unacceptable for Twitter to label us this way.” However, as long as the label remains, Twitter will not recommend or amplify NPR’s accounts or tweets.
The bottom line is that NPR is a taxpayer-funded leftist propaganda outlet. It’s about time the truth is acknowledged, and their state affiliation is exposed. With Twitter’s new label, the public can finally see NPR for what it truly is – another pawn in the progressive chess game to control the narrative and promote their liberal agenda.
