An office cat in Oklahoma has been collecting dollar bills from passersby, leading its owner to donate the accumulated funds to a local homeless center.
The cat named Sir Whines a Lot developed an intriguing habit of bringing home dollar bills, prompting its owner to investigate the feline’s unique money-making talent. Sir Whines a Lot resides at the Tulsa, Oklahoma marketing office of GuRuStu, under the care of owner Stuart McDaniel, who runs the marketing firm.
McDaniel was astonished to discover the cat accumulating substantial amounts of cash in his absence, which proved beneficial for business yet perplexing under the circumstances.

The cat’s mysterious money-collecting behavior came to light thanks to McDaniel’s father’s keen observations.
“I get a call from my dad saying, ‘Why is there money on the floor at the office? There’s at least $5 on the floor near the glass, where you can slip it through.’ My mom and sister [and I], we figured if people are doing it already, we might as well apply it for something good in the community.”
It eventually became clear that individuals were slipping dollar bills through the glass door as a playful gesture with Sir Whines a Lot, contributing to the cat’s growing wealth. This fun interaction with the feline led to his new nickname, Cashnip Kitty, as featured on the company’s Facebook page.
The marketing firm even posted a cautionary sign on their door that read, “Warning: Cashnip Kitty is a hustler with a philanthropic heart. He will snatch your money!”
Recognizing the potential for good, McDaniel decided to donate every dollar collected by Cashnip Kitty to the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless, a local organization in dire need of funds to assist the city’s homeless population. Sir Whines a Lot consistently brings in around thirty to forty dollars each weekend, with the marketing company already having donated two checks worth approximately one hundred dollars each to the Tulsa Day Center.
Monica Martin, the center’s director of development, commented, “I’ve heard of a lot of unique ways people are raising money for us, but this is a first for me, and I absolutely love it. The cat seems to be loving the attention and it has been benefiting and blessing us in the process.”
In an extraordinary display of altruism, this rescue cat has learned to give back to the community by creatively parting people with their cash. What are your thoughts on Sir Whines a Lot and his remarkable ability to collect money from passersby?
