Over the past several days, it would be an understatement to say that the vote for Speaker of the House has been filled with drama. Along with the drama unfolding on the House floor, the criticism of House GOP members who have so far refused to support Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as the next speaker is getting worse and is even coming from other GOP House members.
And to believe that this man stood for us, that is, for common Americans as opposed to the wealthy donor class. But oh well, we’re wrong. Because perhaps one of the nastiest smears of those 20 holdouts came from Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX), who called them “terrorists.” It seems that Dan Crenshaw just shows us his true colors!
Regardless of whether you support McCarthy’s election as Speaker, labeling members of your own party as terrorists is extremely demeaning and small-minded. We’d expect this from The Squad, not a Republican, and certainly not a Republican like Dan Crenshaw.
According to The Gateway Pundit, “The U.S. House voted for Speaker for the 6th time Wednesday afternoon. And for the sixth time, GOP Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has suffered another humiliating loss.”
Since Tuesday and since President Trump’s endorsement, Kevin McCarthy has lost votes.
And after losing, Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX 2nd District) was “pissed” calling the 20 GOP members to “shut the f*ck up” in a report by Washington Post’s Dylan Wells.

The 20 Republicans who have opposed McCarthy’s bid for the speakership once more were blasted by Crenshaw on Wednesday when he appeared on the Guy Benshow Show.
Crenshaw referred to the 20 Republicans challenging the establishment as “terrorists,” during the interview. Crenshaw said, “We cannot let the terrorists win.”

And for seeking “notoriety over principle,” Crenshaw blasted the GOP hold-outs, in an interview with CNN’s Manu Raju on Tuesday. When the House Republican caucus nominated McCarthy for speaker, He then told Raju the debates were ended.
However, when he deliberately misconstrued their honorable opposition with narcissism, Crenshaw’s tone toward his fellow GOPers turned sharper.
“But if you’re a narcissist and you believe your opinion is so much more important than anyone else’s, then you keep going. And you’ll threaten to tear down the team for it for the benefit of the Democrats just for your own sense of self-importance. That’s exactly what’s happening here,” he said.

In a Fox & Friends appearance, Crenshaw again criticized the GOP for not supporting McCarthy.
“It makes us look foolish. If I didn’t know any better, it’s like the Democrats paid these people off … ‘Let’s make it look like the Republicans can’t govern and don’t deserve any gavels,'” he said.
