Chinese Journalist Warns If U.S. Approves Taiwan’s Request There Will Be Retaliation

It looks like the Taiwan-China Conflict pot is being stirred again. Biden’s gaffe earlier this month put China back on edge after he claimed we had committed to defending Taiwan. The Biden Admin later backpedaled and said their stance on Taiwan was unchanged. But China’s media responded claiming they would wipe us out.

So now it appears Taiwan wants to see where we stand and they want to change the name of their representative office from “Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office” to “Taiwan Representative Office.” Chinese State-Run-Media Editor of the Global Times Hu Xijin claims china would take action if the U.S. allows the name change.

HU XIJIN, CHINESE MEDIA: “Media widely reporting that the U.S. is evaluating whether it should respond to Taiwan’s request and change the name of its representative office in the U.S. from ‘Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office’ to ‘Taiwan Representative Office.’

This is obviously to test the attitude of the Chinese mainland. I think this test is unnecessary. As soon as the U.S. and Taiwan do so, it will undoubtedly trigger an unprecedented response from Beijing. At the very least, Beijing will recall its ambassador to the U.S. as it did in Lithuania for the same reason. And that is merely the diplomatic retaliatory measures.

Beijing will definitely take economic and military actions against the arrogance of the U.S. and Taiwan. At this point, it is foreseeable that the mainland fighter jets will fly over the island of Taiwan. The mainland has been planning it for a long time. I’d like to point out that the U.S. and Taiwan have continued to increase the mainland’s cost of maintaining peace in the Taiwan Straits. More than half of China’s diplomatic troubles have to do with the Taiwan question. Calls for a thorough solution to the Taiwan question through force are consistently increasing in the mainland. The Taiwan question is getting very close to the tipping point.”

We really need to settle this conflict once and for all. Unfortunately, we have the wrong president in office to handle any sort of military operation. It seems like this is the calm before the storm when it comes to Taiwan and China. Hopefully, w can maintain the peace until we at least have a competent president in office.
