So-Called ‘Educators’ Declares Proper Grammar Is Too ‘White’ – No Joke!

This is another indication of how bad our education system has become. Some Liberal “educators” are complaining about teaching students English. They feel forcing students to properly speak the language puts black people down and marginalizes black language. And these people teach the youth of our nation…

“April Baker-Bell, associate Professor of Language, Literacy, and English Education at Michigan State University argued that the idea of Standard English among teachers is used to maintain racist assumptions about “Black language.”

Bell stated it is evident that “anti-Blackness that is used to diminish black language of Black students in classrooms is not separate from the rampant and deliberate anti-black racism and violence inflicted upon black people in society.”

“The way black language is devalued in schools reflects how black lives are devalued in the world,” Baker-Bell said, “[and] the anti-black linguistic racism that is used to diminish black language and black students in classrooms is not separate from the rampant and deliberate anti-black racism and violence inflicted upon black people in society.”

Also present was Cristina Sánchez-Martín, English professor at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, who said that she is working hard to undo “whiteness” in her students’ writing.

“The repeated references to ‘correct grammar’ and ‘standard language’ reinforce master narratives of English only as white and monolingualism and a deficit view of multilingualism,” Sánchez-Martín insisted during the symposium.”

Where do they think the English language came from? Everyone learns proper English if they go through our education system. It is the national language. Schools don’t teach slang or variations of the language to fit different cultures. They just teach standard English. There is nothing racist about it, everyone in our country learns the same language. It’s how we communicate. There is no reason that black people should be excluded from learning the national language. They should not be put on some pedestal just because they have a slang version they prefer. But seeing as how Biden is pushing Critical Race Theory that deepens the racial divide in this country, this line of reasoning fits the bizarre state of affairs in our country.
