In the months, even years, leading up to the 2020 election the mainstream media proved to be a bias source of information. In some cases, even outright making up the news. Their coverage of presidential candidate Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, and his shady foreign business dealings was no exception. The media spent much of President Trump’s first few years in office spinning the false narrative of Russian collusion. But they wouldn’t touch the multiple reports that proved Hunter Biden abused his father’s previous position as vice president for financial gain in companies overseas.
Interestingly enough, now that the race is over, Networks like CNN are starting to cover the investigation into Hunter’s position in the Ukraine energy company and transactions he’s had in China. Much like how before election day, the liberal media was pushing the narrative that the public couldn’t trust Trump’s COVID-19 vaccine- only to retract that statement post-race.
White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany scolded the press during a news conference on Tuesday. McEnany, like the rest of us, is furious the media stopped reporting the news and became liberal activists for Democrats.
“Interesting pre-election and post-election coverage too on the Hunter Biden scandal which was not covered at all by many outlets in the lead-up to the election,” McEnany told reporters after condemning their handling of the Rep. Eric Swalwell Chinese spy controversy.
“On October 15, you had a New York Times headline that said, ‘Trump said to be warned that he was being given Russian disinformation over Hunter Biden,’” she said.
“Now, December 10, just a few months later, your Times headline is ‘Investigation of Hunter Biden is likely to hang over Biden as he takes office,’” she went on.
“Really interesting turn of events and good for those who covered what was the story all along and not Russian disinformation,” McEnany said.
McEnany slammed reporters for ignoring the Swalwell case but gave credit to reporters who stuck to the story and didn’t buy the ‘Russian disinformation’ slop the mainstream media tried to push:
“In the last 24, 48 hours there have been quite a few stories that have not gotten a ton of coverage in the mainstream media, as former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer said, ‘Bias is often found in the stories the press does not cover,’” McEnany said.
“We found out that Democrat Congressman Eric Swalwell was infiltrated by an alleged Chinese spy, this spy cozied up to Swalwell, raised funds for his 2014 campaign and even planted an intern in his office and that relationship continued until the FBI briefed him in 2015, and that was some very good reporting done by Axios,” she said.
