Finally some good news for Erica Kious, the San Francisco salon owner that was nearly ruined by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi after she accused the salon of setting her up. Kious and Pelosi both made headlines last week after Pelosi showed up at Kious’s shuttered salon for a private blow out. Pelosi casually walked around the salon without her mask after using her position to secure her ‘appointment’ through one of her staffers.
A rightfully upset Kious blew the whistle on Pelosi who has forced her salon to stay closed because of the pandemic but felt comfortable enough to walk around without her mask.
Pelosi told her supporters that the salon owner set her up, but the owner was not in town that day. Kious also explained that the cctv system was installed 5 years ago. Pelosi’s supporters didn’t care and Kious was flooded with death threats and bogus bad reviews on yelp. The single mother announced on Fox Newws that she would have to close her business for good and move thanks to Pelosi and her supporters
However, as it turns out Kious had some supporters of her own. A close friend to the salon owner set up a GoFundMe account which has raised more thank $300,000 dollars. A humbled Kious responded on the page, moved by the generosity of strangers:
“I wish I could personally thank every person who sent me their prayers, words of encouragement and support, especially at a time when so many are struggling to make ends meet in their own lives.
I am very humbled and grateful to have received such an outpouring of kindness, empathy and generosity from people I don’t even know, and from all walks of life and all sides of the political spectrum. It’s a powerful reminder that the common things that bind us all together as Americans are far more meaningful and lasting than political and ideological differences that get so much attention and focus.
Today, on Labor Day, we should all focus on celebrating the efforts and achievements of hard-working people everywhere. They deserve our respect and appreciation, and they definitely all deserve an opportunity to get back to work safely and responsibly. That is all this was ever about.
Finally, and most importantly, I want to thank my girls and their loving dad, and all my family and friends (especially Amy Tarkanian) for their support and understanding”
