WATCH As Clueless Biden Walks Back His Threat To Shutdown The Economy

Last month Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden was all for shutting down the United States economy again hen asked how he would manage the spread of COVID. Interestingly enough Biden was eating those words this week as he was forced to walk back his threatening statement.

During a speech in Wilmington, DE – Biden walked back those comments saying he doesn’t think a shut down will be necessary. “There is going to be no need in my view, to be able to shut down the whole economy.”

Biden referred back to the ABC interview, suggesting the question was broad. “I got asked by David Muir a question if I was asked to shut everything down, I took that has a generic question, am I going to follow the science?”

He also doubled down on his view that the best way to reboot the economy is to get a handle on COVID-19. “The idea that you’re going to be able to get the economy back on track without getting COVID under control is completely counterintuitive…unless we’re able to deal with the disease and drastically cut its impact on people’s confidence, being able to either go to work or walk into a business or do business, then it doesn’t matter.”

Closing the economy due to the coronavirus has had a devastating impact on local economies and closer of countless small businesses that were deemed early on as ‘non-essential’. Since about mid-March 57 million Americans have filed for unemployment and we are only just now starting to see the economy turn around.

So then, why would anyone in their right mind threaten to shut the economy back down? They wouldn’t, which speaks to Biden’s mental state. Clearly someone corrected Joe and pushed him to ‘clarify’ what he meant.

Biden has spent much of his campaign thus far blaming Trump for the spread of the Chinese virus. Ironically, it was Biden and his Democratic buddies who pushed the narrative that the President was racist for banning travel to China early on. That was when China had ‘assured’ the world that COVID had not spread from person-to-person.

Imagine how many more deaths there could have been had the President not taken action early on.
