AOC is somehow proving to be more out of touch than Pelosi and the House Speaker just flaunted her wealth during a pandemic. AOC is encouraging people to basically give up on life and not go back to work. She posted on Twitter telling people they should just refuse to go back to work, in general. And then when criticized instead of defending her position she just bashed Trump for not having a plan to get people back to work safely. GOP Pundit Candace Owens saw this and let AOC know just how wrong she is.
An AOC and Sarah Sanders exchange attracted the attention of Candace Owens. Vice put up a clip where they interviewed AOC.
“There’s a lot that we could be doing right now but ultimately when we talk about this idea of reopening society, you know, only in America does the president — when the president tweets about liberation — does he mean go back to work. When we have this discussion about going back or reopening, I think a lot of people should just say ‘no’ — we’re not going back to that,” she said.
“We’re not going back to working 70-hour weeks just so that we could put food on the table and not even feel any sort of semblance of security in our lives.”

Sarah Sanders responded:
“.@AOC says Americans should boycott work. As usual she’s wrong. The goal should be for Americans to SAFELY return to work because unlike AOC and members of Congress, most of us actually have to show up at work to get paid and support our families! #ProtectLivesProtectLivelihoods”
AOC came back at Sanders bashing Trump:
“Trump has NO PLAN to get people safely back to work.
GOP Govs like Kemp are sending vulnerable workers to die w/ false claims of safety.
Trump also pushed an unproven, dangerous treatment as a “cure” & firing experts who want to vet claims.
Last thing you care abt is safety.”
Candace Owens was ready to put her in her place and came back at the House Dem.
“You routinely complain that poverty is the reason that more minorities will die from Covid-19.
—but you advocate for a BOYCOTT of employment, thereby impoverishing millions MORE minorities.
You’re an intellectual coward that only responds to white people that criticize you.”
Surprisingly AOC has yet to respond. But she rarely does stand up to someone who she thinks will beat her in an argument. She claimed Shapiro was bullying her when he asked to debate her. AOC it seems has already forgotten that people need to work in order to put food on the table and pay bills.
